The rooms were nice, the beds were comfortable and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was a little better than most. I would say the people in this town are so kind. I met a physician (Joe) and his lovely wife in the lobby of the hotel. They were from Gaylord and were just back to visit family and do some biking. They were so kind. I was left stranded in the town when my rental car broke down and was towed away and I didn't have a way to reach the car rental counter which was over an hour away in Traverse City. This couple generously offered to drive me and my son to the car rental place even though it was in the opposite direction of where they were going. I would definitely visit Gaylord again and when I do, I'll stay at this hotel. Idk what I would have done if I hadn't met Joe and his wife in the hotel's lobby that morning. I hope they see this review because I would love to connect with them again and repay them somehow for saving the day.
Stayed 2 nights a day felt was great value. Rooms was clean, staff was helpful, parking was easy and breakfast was a decent surprise. One suggested would be to warm the pool a little more in the winter months.
I had read many reviews of the room were not clean, but ours was very clean. I tend to be more OCD and it met my standards. One of the beds in our room was quite squeaky, but the other was just fine. Mattresses were comfortable. Air conditioning unit was pretty old. Some minor upgrades may be needed in that area. Otherwise the food was good and the service was extremely friendly. I would definitely stop here again.

Had to find a hotel on 12-14-24 due to some mechanical issues with my truck. This hotel is currently going through some renovations, so people are being directed to enter through the side door. They did a good job with signage directing people where to enter as well as where the impromptu front desk is set up. Due to the renovations there is some dirt in the hallways, though that is to be expected so you can’treally blame them. They have a good amount of parking, though construction vehicles are blocking some of them. They even have some designated parking spots for large vehicles, which is great for me as I’m a semi truck driver. Staff was very friendly and helpful, the front desk lady even went to my room with me when my card wasn’t working to make sure I could get in. My only real complaint is with the rooms regarding the thermostat. They have it set very low by default, which is fine because you can just adjust it. The problem is that it automatically resets to the default after some time, so I woke up to a freezing cold room. The panels on the floor they have in the bathroom get cold easily as well, so if the rooms cold then you should wear socks because the bathroom floor will get super cold with it. Overall I had a good experience with only minor complaints. I’ll definitely consider coming back another time.
